Coastal Living named the cities of Anna Maria Island as 1 of the 10 best places to live on the coast?!
Located within the heart of Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach is a vibrant beach town of nearly 4,000 residents. Incorporated in 1950, the City of Holmes Beach was established with the slogan, “The Town With A Future,” and nearly 75 years later, the city has continued on that path with initiatives such as the Clean Water Ad Hoc Committee, Islanders 4 Clean Water, the Parks & Beautification Committee, and the City Planning Commission. Whether you are catching a wave, enjoying a late afternoon stroll with the family through one of our many parks, or watching a parade, there is always something for everyone. The City of Holmes Beach offers over 20 public beach access points, 12 parks for both recreation and leisure, as well as restaurants and shopping centers. At the heart of the community are the residents and guests whom can often be found participating at events at Anna Maria Elementary, the Center of Anna Maria Island, or one of our many community gatherings at City Field.
