Stress is one of the leading health issues in society today. Living in a small town is an opportunity to slow things down. Life can be stressful, regardless of who you are or what your job is, so add living in a big city or county to that stress and you’ll get a sense of how much easier you can take things if you live in a small city.
With fewer people and smaller buildings small town life gives you the chance to look around and appreciate some of the most beautiful things in life – people and scenery!
While in Holmes Beach we encourage you to ‘island’. For those that live in Holmes Beach, island is a verb. It’s a lifestyle and way of life. It’s a relaxed mindset that you can only attain on the beach of AMI or swimming in our local bays. As you island, you may find yourself boating from our city owned boat ramp or t-ends, you may be cruising the city streets on a fully accessible golf cart route or enjoying the beach from one of our many publicly accessible beach accesses.
Don’t want to beach it? Enjoy taking your dog to the City Dog Park at City Field. Even dogs like to island!
Slow down and unwind in paradise. One of the many perks to island living is the relaxed pace our community has to offer.
