Residents of small communities are often quite familiar with each other, as well as the general happenings around the town, so getting away with a crime unseen is a lot more difficult.
Of course, this is not to say that there is no crime in small towns – nowhere is perfect – but the fact is that the likelihood of you or your family being victims of a crime is much lower than it would be if you lived in a big city. Worried about your home while you’re out of town? Check in our police department to request a property walk through and home check.
We recognize that strong public safety programs and support our police, fire, and emergency personnel are essential to keeping our community vision intact. It is this relationship with the police department and our residents through community orientated and high visibility proactive policing that encourages the public to interact with our police department on out reaches such as National Night Out, Coffee with a Cop, Veteran’s Outreach, and so much more!
Our tight-knit community is proud of our strong public safety programs as well as our emergency response teams.
